Meet Claudine
Claudine Maidique grew up in New York deeply immersed in the culture and textiles of her family's native Italy. As a girl she would watch her grandmother create custom dresses using metallic brocades, lush wool boucles, and bright raw silks from Europe. She learned to sew with her grandmother's silk threads and jeweled buttons. Later, she traveled abroad and visited the gardens and museums of Italy, which inspired a semester in Florence while attending Cornell University, where she studied textile design and fine art. Claudine's sensual yet rigorous approach to interior design has led her to build a successful career over the past fifteen years. She creates collections of luxurious throw pillows, transforms her clients' homes into sacred spaces, and collaborates with dynamic artists.
